You’ve got to just look back at “window tax” , so people built many up , you only need to remember one thing ….. the “House” never looses .

They have had serious quality control problems and serious production delays with cars being assembled by hand. They are only just getting on top of it. They was serious trouble a year or two ago.Yes such a tinpot firm, tiny little factories, don’t know how they do it

Give Tesla a break. They are a brand new entrant to high volume motor manufacturing, of course there will be teething troubles when setting up an operation of this scale, with a product as high tech as it is. Blimey we have issues assembling a toaster sometimes. I think he’s pulled it off now and doing a blinding job now

I wouldn’t be that kind tbh, the crappy bits are the trim and body which are very old tech and the information can be bought or employed. It’s not like a passed down skill
The biggest problem is the country of manufacture , the USA
My old employer tried setting up a large manufacturing facility .
He chose a area between Michigan and somewhere else , I cannot remember and and it seemed like everyone had a sub level IQ , all rednecks and inbreds .He actually gave up.

The problem with Tesla is that electric cars are not new and they don't have a monopoly. Nothing to stop any of the really big boys producing their own. Which of course they are now.
Tesla are more of a niche market producer trying to mass produce. They have come on a lot recently which I respect a lot. 2 years ago it looked like they were going to go pop.

No, you're right and I'm no fan of Musk, but I'd say Tesla are doing a pretty damned good job to be honest.
I bet it's the first name everyone thinks of now, if asked to name an EV manufacturer.

As others have said, it's not the high tech stuff that's the issue, it's the basics body, trim, alignments, interior, reliability, etc.

I think Elon Musk is OK.
I am no fan of Tesla cars...
But he has built a "trade name in a difficult emerging market". But I would agree! Tesla is the name for full EV's.

Very different if you ever see the regiemes something like a new Merc goes through. I don't know how many Tesla's you've seen close up but the fit and finish I'd be ashamed of on a fibreglass race car never mind a production road car.
I thought it was a serious post, and that people would be interested in how the chargers work
