I would have thought ALL electricity supplied to the grid is metered somewhere? Surely they need to know for load balancing and demand etc etc?Why?
Why the focus on subsidies? Some energy is generated and sold, like the free market economy
Non of the multi megawatt installs I'm involved with get anything other than paid for the energy produced, this is metered at site so they know how much to get paid, it is not monitored centrally for some made up or imagined subsidy
And forget about subsidises - how do they pay the solar farm if they don't know how much electricity they are generating?
Ahh I see - metered at site. But surely that is the case for all forms of power?
Those stats are then fed into the computer systems that spit out the data?
