To be honnest. I havent gone down that route now. I have got 7.5 litres of ti primer cant wait try it. Im supptisex how far the epoxy goes.
Repairing the sills on my son's BMW E34, long job and obviously twitchy about rust coming back. Epoxy primer seems to be the way to go but I don't do enough spraying to justify a compressor and an air fed mask. Is there a 1K version that comes in a spray can or am I best sticking to the etchweld primer I have been using?
I got it from metalflake.com, they never asked what colour...I'm sure it said gray somewhere so I just presumed it was a more solid colour and not so transparent. Its possible I suppose that the gray colour is just from the zinc content and there is no other pigment in there... I'll email metalflake.com to ask them...
Hi, it does normally turn out a solid colour wich covers really well. Have you had the epoxy mixed or straight from a shop as epoxy needs tinting to users colour preferance. I buy mine from a local supplier and the first question they ask is what colour would you like it, i also have it grey. Im sure the epoxy comes to the suppliers as a clear binder and they tint it
