No, its not pressing (and really I shouldn't) but I keep thinking on about a portable AC/DC TIG and MMA set. Think many forget that buying within say a hours drive can be a massive plus when things turn bad

To be honest no, I have done very little with Ali my who career. Big tipper backs occasionally bits n bobs. Did a lot of stainless during the catering boom of the late eighties early 90s but mostly a mucky steel guy.
Now the 1090 is in and looking towards the generally very low standards set by the competition and the high demand for gates and railings I am trying to focus

While the thread's fresh again - I've still got this lovely little machine and it's utterly brilliant. If it did AC I don't think I'd ever want for anything else.

One thing I will say though is that the pulse frequency is so slow it's utterly useless and as far as I know it's not adjustable. Very small point though, I've never actually wanted for pulse on a job yet

@6 milli billi - other than taking the case off and cleaning out as per any electrical equipment, is there any other servicing I should be doing? I don't push the unit and it's used in a clean environment.

Coming from the hydraulics industry I know too well that the words welding and cleanliness shouldnt even be spoken in the same room
