it looks good.
i find the first bits are the worst:
Get a corner (pillar) built to three or four levels.
Make sure it's dead plumb, square, and level.
Run a single layer to the next corner (pillar). - plumb, square, and level
Build your next corner/pillar to three or four levels. - plumb, square, and level
Repeat along wall.
*Then* fill in the long straight bits inbetween, stretching a string to get each brick in line, which takes no time at all.

It's an old wall, nobody is going to notice if it's a bit wonky, it just adds character and if it's really bad you can always plant a bush in front of it.

Rome wasn’t built in a day. Must admit I’ve only ever done a bit of bricklaying but I think I would give it a go .

Do this when I'm laying out for framing
Doors etc marked on the floor then transfer it with the Laser level and pop pencil marks on all walls and ceiling joists

Mate of mine was in restoration for a long time, He was a chippy, but usually got asked to do other stuff as well. One architect, when they needed to build a new wall to tie in with the old stuff, Told them to leave their spirit levels in their vans, as ' When the place was built, they didn't have modern spirit levels then'. So my mate cheated a bit and used the same style of level that was originally used! (we are Medieval Living History re-enactors)

they used to be home made a piece of wood 3 foot long about 4 x 1inch. put a nail in the middle top mark a line up from the bottom in the middle get some string and a plumbob and hang it on nail instant accurate level

g/dad had one with another piece of wood to make a T shape: "3-4-5 lad, that'll be square"

I'm no expert, but I reckon it would be easier if you built up from the bottom, rather than sideways in midair.
