Boys all the components, I think is with me to start the project. Not sure where I will have to solder the 5 core cable I purchase .
Also where is the Microswitch? Does exist in the actual footpedal or I will have to purchase separately?

Hi to all!

Finally I manage to bring altogether the footpedal and the switch connection.
I plug the switch to the 5 wire socket of my welder and I adjust the knob to show the footpedal mode.
I switch on the potetiometer a fan starts from my welder but that all.
The Amp not seem to go up or down .
I have attached some photos to see if anyone could suggest something:

There's not much anyone can deduce from those pics Bill. Is the pot the correct spec? Is it wired correctly? Does the thing work mechanically i.e. does the pedal actually drive the pot? Where's the microswitch? The microswitch needs to be activated before the pot to tell the welder that you're welding i.e. the microswitch switches the thing on and then the pot varies the amperage

Wiring diagrams and the potentiometer specs were included in the link i posted back on page one.

I will post some more photos tomorrow.
It seems everything to be corect to be honest but you never know.
I have puchase a switched potetiometer 10K.
Not sure as I purchase the welder second hand if the actual 5 wire remote control device works and not know how to check this thing?
It seems tha the the on/of work this is the semilat like the Triger Switch.
the actual potetiometer seems to have the issue.
As I mention when i plug the footpedal the inverter fan starts and i cannot control the AMP from the knob neither from the pedal .

Hi some more photos submited hope is more clear.
Please anyone let me know if there is way to test the 5 wire socket of my welder to see if actually all the pins work properly ?
With a Multimeter for example and if so what I have to look for?
The Potetiometer is a 10K.
As i said before when the mode is on the footpedal immediatly the fan starts in the welder for while and then stops.
Not really know if this is good or bad?

In the page 10 of the manual it states:
"If foot control is selected the machine will switch on and of when the foot switch is depressed and released"

I changed the potentiometer as I thought the problem was there this is why the photos defer!

Are there in numbers on that plug?

Looks like it might be wired backwards.

Shenion there is numbers in the back of the plug from the 1 till 7.
I have wire it according that.
I think the image from the manual shows the back of the plug where the numbers exist.
So for example the Black Wire is on the Number one the Red to the Number two etc.

Just looked like there was a 6 molded next to an unconnected pin in the picture.

Well the photo in the manual with the actual plug is not 100% the same.
Just open and check also the plug of my new Ergo Torch and the Switch has been plugged as follow:

Black cable in the Number 1
Red cable in the Number 2

Really fenestrate my friend seems all fine.
Not really sure about the actual 5 wire remote control and if all the pins work fine.
The Trigger Switch seems fine.I think this is also the On/Off for the foot control, that seems to work but that all.
When I turn the potentiometer then the welders knob not actually work seems that wait from the foot pedal to do all the job
I think the previous owner haven't use any footpedal with the welder, this is why my concern!
Not know how to test that to clarify that the issue is only with the footpedal and not with the welder socket.

Bill, I think the first thing I'd do is plug the pedal in and see whether the unused pin on the plug matches an unused pin in the back of the socket inside the machine... that would rule out it being wired backwards.
Otherwise I'd say it looks correct to me!

Wedg I plug the pedal and yeap the pins matches.
Not know what to do really and what else to check.
at least to clarify firstly that the issue is not the welder itself but the footpedal.
I feel this is a start to short out the thing!

Any idea Boys how i could check my welder 5 wire remote socket if it works properly. Then I may purchase footpedal

Is there a short between the green and blue at the pot? Hard to see in the blurry picts.

Have you tried it?, maybe the amp display will always show the max that the pedal can use (dial on machine sets MAX, footedal does min to MAX.)
