No there isn't any short between the green and blue at the pot.
The issue is shenion that it actually freeze when I turn the potetiometer on .
This is why I try to find a way and check the 5 wire socket first and see from there.
Not know how to check that .
Could i do it with a multimeter? What I will have to look for.
Ohms for example?
Are the welder should be on and do the check

Cannot really check if the issue is with the welder or the actual footpedal itself.

Why not just take it to someone who knows what they're doing and ask them to check it out for you. Judging by that soldering job, the lack of sheathing etc., it might also not be a bad idea to try and get an original pedal unit either.

Well Matt I was hoping that someone will be given an idea.
Seems a lot of people to have done a DIY footpedal here.
I didn't except to be a so big issue to be honest.
Not so big problem to purchase an original pedal.
Just not sure if the issue is with my welder, this is what really concerns me!
If I clarify that, I will go to purchase an original for sure .Cannot waste more time on that.
I am sure it should be a way to test and clarify that my welder works properly
I will have a piece of mind if this happens to be honest.

It's one of those things Bill. You tried it and it isn't working. There's no real way anyone can advise further without physically looking at the thing and checking the work done. They'll obviously need to know what they're on with too, so you will save a lot of time and likely grief just getting it tested and using original equipment, if necessary. Like I say, it would also be beneficial on the safety front. There'll be nothing like any dangerous current on those connections, I'm guessing, but those connections would definitely benefit from being done correctly regardless.

What you suggest you feel the issue is the actual footpedal or the welder frpm your experinece ?
