they’re just a toothed ring like an ABS ring, just to a custom measurement. I guess they’d just be made of mild steel, as long as I can get a reading from them as the wheel turns.

Consensus seems to be flush fit bit I might draw it out just a little so you see a full rolled edge of the tip.
That way when the sun catches it to will look at it but otherwise it blends in.

You seem to have ben going through the mill a bit with the water/heating in the house! Hope you're on top of that now.
A couple of questions if I may. It wasn't obvious to me what you did diferent on the second bonnet, was it just the distortion that made you do it again? And are you ready to share the date for paint?
