I'm sure you've thought of it already, but do make sure that the hole underneath the fuse box is big enough to pass that plug through once it's all wired up.

BTW, I may let my 15 month old granddaughter watch this episode, she's a huge fan of the Jungle Book!

i hadn’t, probably because the hole is fairly big anyway.

I did have a minor panic when I thought I had to screw it in from engine bay side until I actually looked at it properly.

ha couldn’t not put it in there, if I get a copyright strike then so be it

jungle book was probably number 2 on my list as a child, Robin hood was probably my favourite

I’ve been playing musical cars today and realistically all 5 of them that had to be moved technically can be started up and moved.
This thing, however, is now dead probably because I’ve cut an Earth or a feed for something

Nice little repair job there young man (insert knowing nod emoji here) !

I did wonder when you started out with removing the wings from the spare car if you were planning to use them as repair sections, but I'm guessing they are the wrong shape for that?

And is that little 'U' section for a piece of trim or the side skirt perhaps?

I was removing the wings from the spare car so I had a choice of different bits of metal from different parts of the wing. Turns out the RS wings are pretty much a wholly different pressed steel part anyway where the only thing that is remotely close is the top edge where it meets the bonnet.
So last episode and this episode was repairing bits on the RS wings using bits from the standard wings, but modified, then the lower parts were goosed on all of the wings I had so I just created new for the RS ones seeing as they’re completely different to the standard anyway.

the U section is on all wings just more pronounced at the back of the ES wing due to the way it flares out. And yes the skirt fits neatly into the slot too

But, I rather enjoyed that!

I've done a few shell changes over the years and you're right about the space. We always used 3 bays for a shell change. One for the original car, one for the frehly painted new shell, and one in between them for all the parts as inevitably, the last part you remove from the original shell is the first part to go into the new shell (usually the wiring loom)!

Needless to say you must be getting excited about finally getting some paint on the car, do we get any clues yet?

YouTube makes no sense to me. There’s another channel doing similar content to me, been doing it half the time, has twice the subscribers as I do, has at least 5x the views and occasionally gets his videos on the homepage so they get mega views which just snowballs into more subs more views etc.
I don’t know wether he has just been lucky or if he’s doing something I’m not, or if my content in general isn’t a people pleaser.

It’s quite disheartening and really demotivational, and not because I want his to be doing as bad as mine, but I want mine to be doing as well as his. There’s no logical reason they shouldn’t apart from “the algorithm”

That all ties in with you other point, if I’m demotivated to put stuff on youtube then I don’t see the point in filming, if I don’t film I struggle for content and if I struggle for content I don’t release videos often enough and youtube doesn’t like that so the videos you do release don’t do as well which demoralises you further. So yes I try to film as much as possible but sometimes it’s just easier to crack on with it and film the aftermath.
The only thing keeping me going at the moment is I still want a diary of the car and YouTube us the easiest place to keep it all, I just don’t care how well it does anymore lol.

here’s hoping when it’s painted it gets a little more traction. If not then I really don’t know what else to do.

as for what you’re gonna watch for a few months, there will be content, like I have to fit Ford abs rings to the 350z rear end somehow, that’s a video...

have to work out the idle signal from the engine... wiring to redo on the front... spoiler to make... painting the inlet manifold...

And I’ll probably get the megane up and running whilst I have the space, and fix the merc ready to sell it
