[Spark plug]

Well I got the bosh water tested tonight, as I expected it leaked. Only 4 pin holes, didn't think that was too bad in 14' of welding.

I had half a tin of seam sealer in the workshop so the joints got a coat of that inside, ready for a coat of primer tomorrow all going to plan.

Got a start on the primer on Friday, shouldn't be long now, Im starting to see the fire at the end of the tunnel.

Going to try to get some top coat on before I have to go to bed for night shift

Well I'm getting there now:

I've even fitted a little drain valve to make draining the bosh easy:

Just need to get the blower mounted now and a little more pluming and shouldn't be far away from the lighting the first fire.

I have some pet coke, wich isn't going to be ideal I know but it's going to get burnt anyway, I want to play now

It would be terrible if you put some mushrooms, lorne, sliced haggis and black pudding in there as well. Even worse if you got a buttered stottie and tipped said ingredients in to it.

Tell you what, seeing as I'm a really nice bloke, you cook all that and make sure the forge works and I'll come over and dispose of it for you. I'm so nice I wouldn't even charge...

That looks lovely but the beans ruin it, way too sweet to go with bacon and eggs. Get some haggis in there instead, mmmmmm yum!

Dammit now I'm hungry for a fry-up. Hoisted by my own petard!

It is a PAN with EGGS made by chickens.

I have no idea what I would do if I had a forge, or indeed where I could put it, but that is very nice Sparkplug, and good to have seen how it came to be.

Yes it is, I have loads of them. Every so often someone comes by who wants one, they are very handy.

Ok it been a long time coming but:

ITS DONE!!!

I got a few teathing problems to sort, need to get some better coke, but the biggest probloem is the coke fumes not Bering drawn away good enough.

Not sure what the best approach is, weather to extend the hood to make the fire more enclosed or fit a fan in the chimney to draw the fumes away.

It will take a while for the flue to get properly warm, then it should draw ok.

My workshop always looks like a scene from London's Burning after the forge is first lit, tons of smoke billowing everywhere but once it gets hot everything gets drawn up the flue.

It's not smoke that I'm haveing bother with it the sulphur type take your breath away fumes.

I'd put a fan in the chimney, just to be sure.
