Ok so we are at the final stages.
A splash of blue breaks it up a bit.
15ltr tank and I decided to take wallaces advice and fit/make a flow tap. I butchered an old regulator flow meter and used some brass fittings which has worked perfect for a good fine adjustment on the fluid flow as I didn't fancy dunking my hand to adjust at the pump. I'm now waiting on a decent heavy duty garden tray and some fine filter mesh, then I think I can call it a day. Should be this week with a bit of luck.

Total cost £67.75. So that makes me very happy that I done it within the £75 budget. I haven't inc cost of the bits I had kicking about or the cost of blades as I would of used those bits else where and blades are a consumable.

As far as I'm concerned its done and ready for service. I hope some of this content helps others should they buy a pile of rusty metal in need of some work. I'm now gonna try a 45 and see how that goes.

Is the bed marked with degrees? Mine has a pathetic piece of foil at the rear with graduations on that are miles out.

I'm sure at some point there would of been some thing there. (Probably foil) but nothing now. I'm gonna scribe a line to use I think.

What's the rough external dimensions on the saw Richard? It looks so handy I just have to see if I could fit one in.

The longest dimensions are.
L=900 W=400(with my control panel). H=1250.(that's going to vary on how high you make the stand or if you keep the tin legs.

Just to update the thread.
This thing has been bloody brilliant. It's carved it's way through loads of steel, aluminium (couple bits of SS and it's been dead true every chop. It's done countless cuts on it's 1st blade.
Well worth the £70 build costs

Thought I’d update this as it was asked about in another thread. It’s been 3 years
Its by a clear mile the most used piece of equipment I own. Everything I do needs bits cutting up. Gone through plenty of blades and made thousands of cuts.
Impressive thing is I’ve not had to replace or repair anything on it other than blades and coolant. it’s just a little work horse.

Almost 4 years down the road and it’s starting to cost me money
The £7 eBay special submergable pond pump has ground to a halt.
It’s bleeding £9 now
Ha ha just kidding I’m certainly in no position to complain if after 4 years it’s cost me nothing but a Chinese pond pump. Tell you what though for £7 it’s been unreal. it has pumped probably enough crappy oily metal contaminated solution to fill a swimming pool. I’ll definitely be buying an identical one.
I use this saw almost every day for one thing or another. Best tool I own by a clear mile.
