No. I don't have a need to do that. I cannot imagine it's the best saw for that really. Even with a good plate and edge. Sounds like you've got some quality ideas. I look forward to see your pics added to the thread. I just made a very basic stand that's strong and light and unbolts quick if I need to.

Mine cuts well in the upright position but the supplied table is useless, it needs a saddle to be comfortable and the throat makes it restrictive. I picked up another 6x4 with the intention of altering the frame and adding a third wheel to build an upright table saw but have since bought a 14" woodwork bandsaw, just need to lower the gearing as it's too fast on steel.

cheap marine bilge pumps work great for coolant pumps, 12v dc power.

I've gone for £6 submergible pond/tank pumps. 240v.
I don't want to start messing with different voltages. Keep it simple is the best policy.

Thanks to Pete for flogging me this on/off switch and matts wiring advice I've now got it all operating off this little control panel. I added the switch at the bottom for the pump. It can now be started on the switch and the pump turned on and off if I wish. I changed the wiring slightly so the pump cannot be turned on unless the saw is running. I thought that would be better so when the saw stops the pump stops too.

I've reset the position of the tab on the bow so it hits the stop button on the drop and turns itself off as it would of done originally

Ha ha ha they were chucked out of the car when running late on Friday. It's a very partial loss system at the mo as 50% of it ends up on the floor.

It's a simple setup but works well, you have to lift the bow to start the machine. Can you regulate the coolant to avoid flooding?

Yes the bow has to be lifted about 5mm to start it and the beauty is with the damper I can hold it in any upright position so I don't need to depend on the hook. The pump can be set to regulate the flow but only at the pump itself I didn't fit a tap as I don't want to start putting unwanted pressure on the pump by restricting it's flow. It is a simple system which is how I wanted it. If anything goes wrong I can sort it easily.

You've done a good job of sorting that. Just trying to find out what pieces go where when you haven't disassembled something yourself is nothing short of a major task. Getting it actually working is a battle.

Does anyone know what material (type of steel) these saws are made from.
I ask because I've spotted a crack on the pivot arm and it's been (badly) welded in the past . It's fairly solid ATM but was wondering am I gonna do more harm than good Ving it out and re welding it properly. What would be a good filler choice.

You always feel there's something wrong if you're not searching for where those spare bolts/screws go at the end of things.

Ha ha in all seriousness I had a lot of them left over but only because I replaced a few with metric threads. I drilled all the 6mm ones out to 6.8 and re tapped for nice new m8's.
