I am well out of my depth as well but I am a stubborn B
I have managed to adapt the lathe and plasma ones to suit, will persevere with this for a bit and see.

I thought maybe a drill a tap a drill a tap etc would work but nope, just the same

They are teaching kids coding now in schools like one of the core subjects, just likes maths or english. When i was at school 30 years ago we done an hour a week and ******** if i knew what we were doing.

I am getting somewhere, I added this var

Then added this to the end section code

And now I get the G80 although it is doubling up at the drill cycle but that won't matter as far as the control is concerned.

So now all I need to work out is why the Pitch and the Retract are being missed out

I have now discovered if I have the same pitch, depth of thread and retract speed then they are missed out from the second tapping operation. The Infeed spindle speed however is still there so I now have to find out why it is still posted but the others aren't

That is for another day I think

Ok one last thing. I am writing here so that I can remember in case I have to find out what I did, might also help someone else.

In the last image there was a G84 before the line that had the M84. I am not sure how the control would react to that so I wanted to try and get rid of it yet still keep the post processor happy enough to insert the G80 after the code was done.
I changed the line
gCycleModal.format(84));


to

gCycleModal.format(0));

So now it inserts a G0 on the line rather than G84 and the control will be perfectly happy about that

Oh and as an added bonus it allowed me to edit out the line I had added here.

So now I don't get the duplicated G80 at the end of the drill cycle

Persistence pays off.
As yet I don't have a CNC machine other then the printer , so don't need to learn the codings . Not likely to either as I'm now 69 yrs old but should the lottery lout decide to get my numbers right for a full house in the next couple of years I might just be encouraged to learn it to be able to play with all the new toys in my new 3 phase mancupboard. .

I just hope the new Au paire can assist me without breaking her finger nails too much .

I looked at the appeals form and it seems you have to meet every one of the criteria above rather than just some and one of them being the business started some time this year.
