I had some construction friends doing window replacement at about the same height.
Said it was moving about 3' up there with the winds we were having....
3' ????
I would have jammed the operator platform against the building so tight....
Scratch that, i'd never go up in one anyways.
I can go up in one . . . as long as I'm simply hanging on and someone else is driving.
Used a really sillily long/high one in a military facility ion Texas 20 plus years ago, simply to reach into a machine at about 10ft height.
It doesn't look very big but it weighs 16.5tons

Yes, to differentiate from a proper "bucket truck" I call these things "A bucket on a stick" how they can reach out so far without stabilizer legs is beyond me,
Used to use the truck mounted ones in the RAF, they used to go 70+ feet, I chickened out about 60. Once got stuck in one, used to have to adjust a knob on the accelerator pedal of the truck to up the revs, working away merrily and engine stops. Years before mobile phones had to wait until someone came by, always took a radio after that.

That's because it's far away, it's a lot bigger when you are close up.
I'd like to know how much the wind turbine tower I occasionally climb moves in a good wind. You can feel it swaying but there's no reference point I can use.

I had a hi-voltage lineman friend....said he had an insulated bucket truck went up somewhere near 100' and he would work bare hand on up to 135kv.
I asked, how do you know if the truck is insulated properly ?
You go up, and then slowly swing to the wire, bumping the basket to it......
I then asked, what if it starts raining ?
You slowly swing away.
No thank you.

they had one at the school where i was working caretakler took it to the middle of carpark and we went up the full way 
moved along a bit and went over a small pothole . it swung over a few feet at the top and the safety censor wet off 
it was a bit unsettling at 1st its not as bad if your up against a building gives a better sense of security

We used to go up a tower on an MoD establishment. At the top of this tower was a platform about fifteen by ten feet. If you got two or three RAF Riggers walking from one side of the platform to the other and back you could feel the tower swaying gently from side to side.
