Do the whole cill/sill, easier. Ten mole grips. Align it. Zap it. Tack every 6" then Whizz Straight lines down it. You'll spend more time tapping it into place (crucial part) than you will welding it. Just don't go full pelt where it meets the quarter. Give it cooling time.
