The problem is margins are probably becoming tighter & they want to keep the product at a competitive price point. But what these companies don't realise is that some folk would happily pay the extra for the quality/benefitsI'd be suprised if it wasn't.
Quality doesn't seem to come high up on agendas.

I know the Professional range of hand tools became Advanced. The warranty changed too :/

@8ob It also reminds me of home depot & lowes!
Even that brand bought into Homebase when they got taken over & changed into Bunnings in some areas. But the brand doesn't jump to my mind atm
