hi there if u be doing car panels its no good as it only goes down to 40 which it will burn more than give good weld
ah ok thanks. yes i would be doing car panels. what do i need to look for? thanks

it welds to 30 amps ive used 0.8mm on car panels myself but thats with practice
thats with the clarke sip and sealey machines
you can use a technique with it though for thin metal

sorry but your asking for a really good machine at low cost to you many machines are sold at much higher prices even used
what i will say is I started with a diy machine and paid what I could afford then its time for me to upgrade to a better machine

that link was interesting about welding thin metal. Some of it would be for that i am sure but not a huge amount. Things i would want to play with making would be Jerry can holders, bits on the roof rack, steel. If yours would be ok for that and get me going that would be ideal

this is a rocket stove this is how i started off with mig welding and also other projects that i also build as well
with gas 3mm sides to 5mm top plate top plate is also welded with same welder
sip gasless wire on these however i prefer gas to work with gasless is when you have no choice but to do
1-1.5mm steel to 3mm angle iron, angle iron to 5mm steel the stainless steel internal is made by the clarke though
i just never ground the welds off

Buying off a forum member I no doubt you will have no problems most on here know how to weld even me that can only as I call it stick metal togetherwould not sell something that's not right

depence wat u want to spend and if u be doing it far long periods clarkes 135te are realy good , i used in the past cebora pocket mig which was brilliant, now 160 gys and r-tech i use to use before retirement
ta Gaz. Be some time before i can afford to go gas... it did seem so easy with gas though. i looked on ebay and saw some small bottles, rather than big ones like yours. In a couple of weeks hopefully grab the helmet, gloves and couple of other bits.. I need to find where to get metal etc in Sheffield thats cheap. You said look on the forums but i dont A from B on what to buy or what to avoid... good or bad etc. its all totally new to me.

try local scrap yards that have sheets and also bring i loads of scrap sheeting offcuts

Got gauntlets, mask coming next week. Got the holes cut out.. i have some SS rather than MS so might be a bit more of a struggle but will give it a try. Got to repair some wires first though lol. Not sure when i can afford the gas though. Still got to tidy up the cuts, clean up etc.
