I tell you what's a bit odd about your reply....
Shox called it a 'tungsten', you refer to it as a 'needle'
Shox called it a 'filler', you refer to it as a 'wire thing'
'Mesh thing in the torch' too, if you know what it does then I'm damned sure you'd know what it was called.
If that stainless piece is yours then you've been taught to weld properly and therefore should know what every item on your machine is and does.

^^ Yeah, the OP in this thread was almost, kinda, maybe passable as being from someone a bit 'speshial' but enthusiastic. The 'TIG needle' thing was an obvious (and not very good) attempt at trolling.
Come on then OP which are you... an out of work welder with a sense of humour many 9 year olds would find juvenile or someone who's life is soooo empty you've nothing better to do? If it's the latter then i'd suggest more thought is needed... choice of username was a rookie mistake, also a bit too 'speshial' to be true and singleminded. Successful trolling needs subtlety and a quick wit.

Incidentally Ive just passed my driving test and, even though In say so myself, Im pretty good. I can make the car go faster with that knob on a stick thing they put on the side of the drivers seat and those bendy bits of road are a doddle when Im using that circular job thats in front of you.
Only one issue I know of is, I havent put any petrol in a car yet, do I use the green or the black stuff?
Anyway, the real question is should I apply to McLaren or Ferrari (would I need to speak a foreign language). Which outfit do you think needs me the most?

I got a stick welder and I tried some sticks I cut out of the hedge and they were no good at all. So I tried some of those metal ones with the stuff on the outside and it worked well, every time I touched the metal it stuck.
