Friend of mine built a house in town, not far from me, so same BC, and it took two years for the clowns to finally give permission. They simply kept changing their minds about decisions they had already made. Move it forward a metre so it's not aligned with the house next door. So he had the plans changed. A week later, move it back so it lines up. Drawings changed again. And numerous other stupidity.
He was allowed into a meeting about his proposed development, as long as he promised not to speak at all. Then he sat listening to them talking totally wrong facts about his plans, and when he opened his mouth to tell them they were totally wrong, he was asked to leave the meeting. Bunch of over entitled, over empowered halfwits.
Borough council. Same Borough Council as me, not building control. Same shower of ***** who tried to mess with me and my workshop build.Building control and planning are not the same.
Building control inspect and sign completion.
Not had any grief with either, BC out beforehand have a fair idea of what and how, get them to send schedule of inspections and work to that.
3rd party BC is a joke they don't inspect anything
Wickes had a deal on, so I think it was 21 per sheet for the sound thing, and 20 for the fire rated onesHow-does the cost of sound board compare to the cost of celotex?
Yes kingspan/ celotex is dear stuff for what it is.Re celotex, looks like wickes sells kingspan at 120mm thickness for 90 per sheet, compared to the loft insulation which is basically free in comparison..
Should have saved up and gone for celotex, really, but I would still have needed both sound + fire boards
don't know how i missed this originally, but it's about 50cm narrowing down to about 40 at the end. I think the wide-angle lens lies a bitaccess looks narrow down the sides
I’ll see if I can get that done in black, but smooth, rather than the grainy effect.
