Supermarket it is then. LolNoticed the beans on the frame getting a bit holey. I refilled the beer traps last night.
Went out just now with the head torch. Must have picked up 50 slugs on and around them.
The ring of ash seemed to be being bypassed, maybe where I watered everything earlier it made it more passable.
Ah well, it was an interesting experiment whilst it lasted. At this rate I'll have nothing left.
Ours fledged just in time to test the new phone cameraSlightly OT, but snapped this [out of focus] pic of 'my blackie' feeding her chick on the grass yesterday - the young 'un's nearly as big as Mum.....

I'm guessing that this isn't the best time to be buying strawberry plants as they tend to be supplied bare rooted in the autumn which may not help with your search.Reaching out to you gardening experts. I am trying to locate some Murano Strawberry Plants but I cant seem to find any. Any suggestions please..

Your looking well in that picture!

Just let them grow over the top then they'll start a downwards journey for a few feet then pinch out the growing tips after that or you just have loads of greenery & skinny little beans . .Our first French Beans are reaching the top, that's around 7'. I may need to run some horizontal supports.

True about many plants , they only exist to produce seed , once that task of nature is well met , it closes down new production & changes in to different mode of food for the seeds .We had our first crop from the French beans at the weekend. As before they sort of creep up on you, one day you think there's nothing yet worth picking, next minute you find zillions hidden among the stems and leaves. Worse with the dwarf plants as you'd looking down on them. By the way it is said that if you leave the beans to grow too big, even just one, the plant stops producing more.
