South Wales west end of th M$ area . Our butternut's seriously flowered two days ago ... good sign if the warm spell continues , locally we have an amateur hopeful beekeeper with a dozen hives so plenty of pollinators around at present to take advantage of the nectar flows as well ...

Are you letting them spread across the ground or training them up a trellis?
No flowers on my butternut squash yet but I'm hoping to train them up a yet to be constructed frame within the box section frame. I'm assuming they are similar in growth & flowering to the pumpkins.
For the horizontals above the squash I'm just going to put in some M8 studding then timber uprights. Think I need to do it soon!
