I've not looked up the points, but mine has another engine already.
I'd really rather not loose the historic status.
That said, my front axle is needing attention also. The chrome on the balls is not good and they don't unbolt like other axels.
From the stuff I've read you can change stuff if original stuff isn't available or if the change is in the interests of safety or emissions.
All my made did was make leaf spring mounts for the 110 axles so going back to the original axles would easy.
I doubt anyone is ever going to be checking that kind of thing on a vehicle that does a few hundred miles a year.
