For dc only I’d be sticking with a switch too and probably will for most of the alu too. Would the pedal help with making a pulse remote? Does it use any of the same pins/components. The Fronius pulse remote allows you to plug the pedal into the remote so it might share some stuff. If it’s any use let me know. Thanks mate, I'll keep that in mind. Perfectly happy with the torch switch at the moment though, but you never know when an mw might land in my lap and a pedal would be handy for alu.
I'll come up and see you sometime in the not-to-distant-future and I'll take a look over it and make some notes then. For dc only I’d be sticking with a switch too and probably will for most of the alu too. No mate this was a different one. The one you linked had had the cable hard wired into the pedal for some reason. This could of been completely innocent but I had to ask the question in my mind why would you do that and that put me off it. This was a €290 posted from Germany which was ok and it’s not been messed with which appeals to me.Hi Richard,
is that the one I send the link?
If so, great that you got it.
You can find these here sometimes for good prices, so it´s worth to take a look at german sites like e... or e.. kleinanzeigen.
Have fun with it!

This thing is awesome. I have to write about it. Sat in the garage tonight and just played.
Started out with the cap shaping feature. This is simply where you tell it the size of the tungsten and on arc initiation it applies enough ep to dome off the end. However I’ve found it gives excellent results setting it 1mm less. So for a 2.4 tungsten if you set this to 1.4 it produces a perfect pre ball right on the tip.
In order to keep it that way on clean aluminium I have set the balance at 3 o’clock on the dial. In the background menus this is apparently 26% ep. These two values probably won’t change much at all.
Ac settings in pr3.
I went through all the half waves and found 2 really sweet spot settings can’t decide which I like best.
1 dc neg square wave dc pos sine wave.
2 square wave on both.
Got frequency set at 90hz.
Then I ran a load of joints on 2mm 1050 offcuts. Didn’t change a single setting between joints after other than current. God it’s good.
Knocks the spots off my modern sets it really does.
Poor tweco has been made pretty much redundant since this old girl got plugged in the wall.I want one now...
You want it??Forsale....one slightly use Tweco!
I was reading all about that in the manual for the Eutectic one I was offered, shame I couldn't afford it LOL they seem to be the dogs danglers
I still can't afford it JimI’ve still got one left Robin, it’s not too late...
I think we almost agreed on £150 deliveredI can’t remember what you offered but as my deadline to move out of the current workshop looms it’s looking more and more tempting lol.
