I hate rivets! Great on the bench but not great for critical applications where you need validation data. (Or not in my experience)

This reminds me of when I was on a plane and a small boy was terrified of flying, he was crying a lot. The mother of the boy said to the father, "can't you do something with him" the father replied "like what".
Mother... "I don't know, play I spy or something,"

MOG ( main oil gallery ) oil pressures when I did my city & guilds in the 1960's tended to be around 9 to 14 psi before the bypass lifted and put unfiltered oil back round the engine .

mini cylinder heads have what looks like a rivet in the oil way drilling, and BL really knew what they were doing

This is what came out of my Ford Kuga Powershift transmission (made by Ford Getrag Transmissions).

After seeing this design (and the thousands of failures) I wouldn't trust them to run a p1ssup in a brewery!.

Plus the Ecoboom engine debacle and their wet cambelt engines, one disaster onto another..

A few years ago Mrs Robo was looking at buying a Ford B Max with powershift until I did a bit of research on them, she went for a Vauxhall instead

I did a 6DCT451 conversion to it, only one ever done iirc.

Still going 15,000 miles later.

Wife rang me up at work saying the car was playing up (Mk2 Kuga Powershift). Got home and managed to get it to fault again. Managed to pull code P0766, shift solenoid D stuck. First port of call is to flush the box, only did the oil change 15,000 miles ago though with genuine Ford oil +...

Been working in engineering & maintenance for over 30 years & never heard of using bread or grease to remove needle bearings! You learn something new every day!

I've seen me using rawlbolts to remove bushings before.
