Only if I go down first. You seem like a man that’s been in a duel or two
If you go down first there may be no need (or energy) for a duel

One shot? Two is pussythe thing could only fire one shot, could make a better one on the lathe.
They're like any new machine/process.I thought some bright spark said it was easy to use!!!
No danger of that just yet
Make an unboxing machine! No danger of that just yet
more pop corn will be required, it’s still in the box
Re opening the box. May I suggest this is best done early in the morning while it's still asleep and just creep up on it and swiftly slash its throat , sorry packaging , then it will have no time to give you aggro. Hopefully. No danger of that just yet

Much as I would like a 3D printer I have been resisting the urge telling myself:

Wait for them to mature as a product.
The price will come down.
They will use better filament for more durable prints.
My cats sit on the A3 printer and shred the prints as they emerge from the printer, what are they going to do with a 3D printer
A 3D printer is still on the list of things that I like or would like but it is better that someone else owns and uses them and I can admire from afar, a bit like a Jet Ski or a power boat or a ...

True, they have come a long way in both price and performance but I still get the idea that making the home user ones work a big part of the appeal to many who buy them. I would want them to be more usable out of the box, even in this thread there are lots of if you add this, that or the other to make it do what to my mind it should be able to do as shipped. But surely they already have - in both cases..?
We managed to get one at my department several years ago, and it was three or four times the price of what you buy now as a home user.
Saying that, it hasn't worked in years and nobody can be bothered with it; we had a young (know it all...) teacher that wanted us to print wee Lego men for kids... not the kind of creativity I have in mind for possibly getting one myself, for home use.

Not quite there for me and I admire @Parm for having a go, I will be following his progress with interest.
