Joton-Jotamastic primer questions.

"What have you guys used on top of this primer, if any ?"

For the time being I am leaving the Jotan as is in the hope that if it is good enough on the bottom of a ship it will do for an MGB. However, I accept this may not work as a ship does not get wheels spraying it with road grit. I compete in sprints so my aim is to keep the weight down. If it starts to get damaged I will redo the effected areas and then apply stone chip.

Topcoated mine with paints, 2k or chassis black. Next car due is in soon, will do Jotun + 2k body colour, praps with stonechip between those.
Epoxy chalks up in time, though it can be ages to show it seems (had some auto epoxy, not Jotun, outdoors for 3 yrs or so before chalkiness started).

From what ive read on the 87 tech sheet is its 'very good' at abrasion resistance, with the Raptor on top of mine im sure that will be enough, 6 coats all in all, not inc the paint. Although the Raptor didnt look as though 3 coats was applied, wish i could have sprayed it on, next time i might just do that if i can. I used almost 2 litres of Raptor yet i could still see the primer colouring through it.

I should have taken Langys advice about using foam rollers instead of Upol them selves. The foam roller did make the application thicker compared to the other coats of Raptor.

Live and learn and all that, next time if not being sprayed then i'll use the absorbent foam rollers for the Raptor on the rest of the chassis work that needs doing. I didnt really want to brush it on because i wanted to try and keep it looking neat so rollered it on like the epoxy.

Sounds good having 2k epoxy, 2k stonechip with 2k paint on top, however my cars paint is metallic.
