Just bought first TIG cebora tiguno.. Mistake?

I've just fully cleaned the points and holder to rule out a short. Unfortunately its exactly the same.


I can hear a tiny relay on the board click after three seconds of holding the button on the torch in DC mode. I presume thats the HF circuit disconnecting.

I wonder if the big cap needs replacing?

Edit - Just realised I bought a big cap for the pillar drill. Its 30uf not 25uf. Tried it anyway but makes no difference.

I've just noticed the main relay looks newer than the rest of the machine - Must have been replaced at some point.




Still no closer on getting the HF working.
There another unusual looking cap, unfortunately I cant find a replacement.

Fixed it.

The relay that triggers the points didn't have a good connection to the main board. Unbelievably, two bolts create the circuit. I cleaned these all and she works great.

The extra work of cleaning/gapping the points and replacing caps probably helped too. I get a nice strong HF start now.
