Kid! Kid!! I'm a grown women I'll have you know at the ripe age of 23 :'( feeling 43 with all the injuries ive substained :'( but thanks I don't have that much enthusiasm. It's really tiresome currently.Leave the poor kid alone, she's doing a great job - I wish I had her enthusiasm and dedication nowadays to do something as challenging.

Hi everyone,
Not really much of an update as progress has slowed.
Started Monday by t washing the chassis which ended up taking about 4hours. It was horrible lol.
This is how it goes after its put on
Then I spent ages rubbing over with emery pad
I removed all of the masking tape and had to admire it
Another load of pretty parts
Then began assembling the hubs. I fitted all the bearing races but didn't have any grease so just put disks on to clear some parts super shiny and was nice to see some hard work paying off.
For the bearings I numbered each hub 1-4 then on each bearing box I put f or b for front or back, obviously to get them put together as I imagine they're ground together.
I discovered yesterday that the swivels need replacing which is a pain in the ass and will delay rolling chassis till next week but I'll rebuild it all and maybe put engine in and then whenever I get the swivels I'll put them on. And make it a roller
ive been writing a big parts list and plan on ordering every single part I can think of to make it a rolling chassis with all new engine and gearbox mounts, new clutch etc.. It's not going to be cheap lol but worth it I think during the next week I'll paint the rest of the parts I've got.
So close now! One more load to paint and I can start major assembly

Have you cleaned the threads in all the tapped holes? another few hours work while waiting for bits to arrive

If it's a Richards chassis one of their selling points is all the threaded holes are cleaned and tapped before sale.

That paint you using looks Really thick like tar. How many coats did you do?
I can't believe how quickly your getting through this project. Something like that would take me about a year.

6 coates and it is indeed, one thing I've not done is chip it lol. It's very tough. even cutting excess off was a pain lol.

Very inspiring work Kim. I know of several projects where the guy has given up after a small fraction of the work you've put in. You can be proud of what you've done so far and I bet there will be a huge amount of pride and satisfaction in the finished article.

that's very nice. Once I start getting things together like the axle and engine in I'll really start enjoying it more I hope Not to far now from really starting assembly

I think he means you will need to clean excess galv' from the threads.

Sorry Kim, I was just quoting the other post, I didn't mean to be offensive. I think your work is superb, you must have so much energy, most of us would have given up by now, hence all the part finished projects.
