I reckon one of our members has abducted her !
Lol that's true, few more bits to buy like clutch and stuff and I should be able to get it running and driving.Well at least you'll see and enjoy what you've bought for your £412 ! I've just ordered concrete to the tune of £750 for delivery on Monday, and it'll just get poured into a hole and never seen again (Footings for a new pigsty)
His reply was "do you do anything other than find problems" lol seems not...it's the thought that counts
Just read this whole thread through from page 1, amazing job going on Kim.
I've been following
Love to do this kind of rebuild myself on a mid 1990's 110 Tdi Station Wagon, to full original factory Camel Spec.
If only i had the facilities.
The epoxy paint looks great on all the components and chassis.
Don't forget to Waxoil or Dinitrol the inside though.
Jotun is brilliant but to fully cure it does take a week or so, in that time you need to be a bit careful with it obviously. Painting it is horrible if I'm ️honest, spraying is not bad.Yes i've tried both brushing and spraying the epoxy paints, Rustbuster mastic products, and both seem difficult to apply, but the protection it gives vs normal paint is worth it, so i will continue using it.
Maybe i'll try the Jotun brand next time as it seems cheaper?
Is your welder sorted now?
I'm looking toward investing in a Oxford 200-1 next month to start sorting out my rotten rear 90 door, among other projects, my old sip is totally past it on wire feed issues and duty cycle its pathetic.
What about coffee filter papers?I've been thinking as im trying to plan the next week and what I'd like to achieve by Friday, I was thinking thoigh about my mask. As you can see in the photo it's blocked and literally blocked solid when painting and I couldn't breath

I only used it twice for it to do this at £10 for the pair it's not cheap to replace the filters when you consider I have to paint every single body panel still . Anyway, on some engine powered things like mowers they have a pre filter to catch grass then a secondary being the main filter, I wonder if anyone has any idea of a fabric or paper type stuff that I can tie over the filter to catch the main particles then the damaging fumes can still be filtered through the actual filters. Hope that makes sense, would be a wise idea I think and will save allot of money.
That's a brilliant idea! I'll see if I can buy some. Hopefully they fit. What about coffee filter papers?
My mask has prefilters that get blocked easily and I have been known to use compressed air to clean them from the back.
Have you thought about setting up some form of extraction, I use an old 12v car radiator fan run from a battery and charger but an old 240v household fan would do.
