Just trying to finish up the last of the odd jobs before the body can go on. Getting close nowNice work, as always. It's taking shape now Kim, you'll be on the road soon.
I will maybe try bleed again tomorrow if wedging it down hasn't helped.
Also the mess occurs when I miss the filler bottle which is not the easiest of places to get into!
not sure I just saw bleeding could also apply to clutch masterI thought Kim's issue was bleeding the clutch not the brakes?
Or knuckles with it being a land rovernot sure I just saw bleeding could also apply to clutch master
Not too much, need to fix four doors when I get the other three. Then getting everything I can galvanised. Pretty much be ready then.have you much to do on the body or is it ready to sit on kim?
you probably have said that info already but with near 2k posts its going to be a bit of a trawl for me at this stage.
I did lolThought you were going out.....
This is so true! It worked for a bit but has somewhat started being funny again! I'll bleed it normally.Hi, Pressurising the system was a trick used back in the day but it is just that, a trick. Leaving it pressurised overnight gave a good pedal the next day but it wouldn't last because all it did was force the air into the fluid which would come out again over a period. It was most noticable on the brakes because you could get more pressure, with the clutch you could only get limited pressure from the clutch spring.
Colin
I'm going to do this when the weather improves with my brothers helpBut by pressurising, and getting the air 'into the fluid' you could then continue to bleed, hence bringing in new unaerated fluid so keeping a hard pedal.
Thanks ever so much, he was great, went through loads with me and showed me how to correctly crimp those sort of terminals. Ever so thankful for all of his help!Hi Kim glad Paul came through for you, he does have the right "connections" in the Landrover world, Glad I recommended him to you and he was of service
keep up the good work with the last couple of jobs now "He's up and running"
