Oh it also looks like the only job I need to do to fit the whole tdci body to my td5 chassis is fit 6 rivnuts to one of the chassis crossrails fitting the two mounts their enables me to fit tdci seats which I don't care for, it does give me the ability to make them easily removeable which I think I'll take advantage off!

No the seats bolt to two big mounts that fit under the body. Then they bolt through the bots to another two mounts which clip the seats in.

That's good, I didn't think you would be using rivnuts in any load bearing (safety critical) areas but just wanted to be sure. Its going great btw, I bet you cant wait until you get it mot'd. Will it be your daily driver?

No no, there are 6 M10 Rivnuts I think which mount it to the chassis, two on the top crossmember and one on the lower on each mount. This is standard Puma setup.
Yes it is isn't it. I will be using it as my daily, I'll keep my Audi for a couple months to make sure everything is okay with my LR then sell the Audi

It is, I'll buy a bike as well but I really don't want to have two cars. Far to costly for one person and obviously takes up allot of space.

Not for a while but the next project may have to be an Austin Healey Sprite I love them, they're so cute! It won't be for a while yet and need to make sure I can fit in one.

Im 6.2" Kim and i fit with 3" headroom with the roof on but getting in and out with the roof on is ungamely to say the least. No roof, piece if cake. Youre virtually sitting on the floor.

Yes from what I remember of spridgets you need to be quite 'bendy' to get in and out. Not really on for me now.

My second car that I ever owned was an Austin Healey Frog Eyed Sprite. 680 ERL. Superb fun car. When I got it, previous owner had fitted a fiberglass 'E type style ' bonnet, but I managed to find the correct steel Frog Eyed one. It was rather rusty and I had to do quite a bit of welding on it then, and that was probably about 1968 !

I'm like a pretzel, should be fine haha. We will see anyway this is a bit into the future.

Anyway back to the Lou, I'm struggling with what to do with doors it's hurting my head actually, i may bite the bullet and buy a full puma set. If I galvanise the frames I've been made aware that the skins will react so need to do those too. With buying 4 galvanised skins I'm still looking at £400-£450 without buying three more doors. And any other repairs they may need. I'll get some puma prices today.

Behold, my rear tub

Just need some puma doors now along with hinges and I'll have everything to finish it off well externally anyway.

I'm going to spend a day or two assembling the whole thing to make sure I have every part i need. Then when I get it all back from paint I won't be held up waiting for parts that's the plan anyway.

inspirational , so much so this weekend I finally took the body off my 110 to start my rechassis project, you've set high standards. The best bit about bodywork is that big size steps suddenly push you to a vehicle rather than just a pile of bits.
