Oh you're so right! It's been hard completing all the mechanicals but as you say now the bodywork me going on for mockup it's starting to take shape! It'll come on so fast now I hope.inspirational , so much so this weekend I finally took the body off my 110 to start my rechassis project, you've set high standards. The best bit about bodywork is that big size steps suddenly push you to a vehicle rather than just a pile of bits.
Hmm I do hope this is true haha. I don't want any issues for a long time if I can avoid it oh and it's been awfully stressful, allot of tears shed. There is no doubt your's is assembled far better than it ever was at the factory. It's a long hard slog and I'm sure there have been many moments where you wondered if it was all worth it.
a lot of tears shed.
Getting close to 5 digits. May actually have exceed it in fact!I'm sure it's not only been emotionally draining, but also financially, I hate to think how much you've spent so far.
Oh how I wish! Broke now I've not worked for nearly 11 weeks, back this weekend :/Lucky that you're a high paid executive type then ...
I'll call and haggle in a couple weeks
I have made a decision, I'm going to buy four brand new fully galvanised doors with all new internals pretty much. The price of four second hand puma doors is absurd, it's only a couple hundred more to get them new with mostly al new parts. I'll call and haggle in a couple weeks
Puma doors are normally complete doors about £400 each, Sometimes more. I really don't want to have door rot a few years down the line hence wanting to just buy full galvanised doors. For the price it'd cost me to buy three extra doors and galvanise them all then to add my time into it I may as well just buy new in the first place! When i was looking, it seemed that new skins/frames were about £300 each, but then all the insides pushed the price right up.
Ive (supposedly) purchased some complete units from a breaker for £300 each (as in i dont have them yet).
Ive heard of others paying about the same, so, i guess, that's as good a target price as any.
I think puma door cards alone are about £80 each (new)? Hence wanting to buy complete.
I cant remember, and dont want to look - i thought yours was going to be a high-cap? How come 4-off doors?

Just a hard worker, have been running two jobs while doing the project and even while off I've been making money. Just what you know sometimes.Given you're still spending money on this project you must have had a very decent sum aside 'just in case'.
Well done, large numbers of people twice your age don't have the forward planning and self discipline to build up a proper safety net.
Good work.
2 jobs & fixing the Landy as well, I want to marry you! ....... Don't think my wife will allow it thoughJust a hard worker, have been running two jobs while doing the project and even while off I've been making money. Just what you know sometimes.
