What doors have you settled on?
As i see it, there are three options to consider (there are more, but im talking the ones worth thinking about)
1) standard td5 doors - steel skin, non galv
2) sp doors td5 style doors, steel skin, galv
3) tdci doors, galved (but need some different internals)
paddocks will do 2nd row doors, with the steel skin, but non-glav, for just under £300 (including the vat) so im actually tempted to go with them, and just fill them up with dinitrol etc before fitting.

The only ones worth fitting are the tdci ones. They shut properly, don't rot and don't flex, and the skins are far tougher. They are only £350ish each new from main dealer, I have a set on each of my four defenders, one set is over ten years old now with no rot whatsoever. The window regulator plate just needs two small brackets making up.
I went for the SP TDCI ones for the middle row and Genuine LR TDCI ones for the fronts. This actually worked out cheaper as LR were cheaper than SP on the fronts and SP were cheaper than LR on the middle rows!

The middle row doors seem to just keep increasing in price, so my advice is not to wait too long.
As far as i can tell, the only thing that needs adapting for earlier models is a bracket to fit the window mechanism. I havent fitted mine yet, but thats all that others report.

Just to clear it up. The only thing the Haynes is used for is torque specs. I don't use it for any other reason but thanks for the link to a better manual.
I'm going with option 2 mainly because I can transfer some of my parts from my front doors now rather than buying al of it.
I'm going to order the doors this week when I get a chance to send the parts list.

You mention the plate. I believe they need different door cards too (which are crazy money really). Anything else?

You don't need later door cards, you just need to trim the old type ones very slightly down near the lock catch - I'll take a photo tomorrow but it takes ten seconds with a sanding pad on a grinder. I have a batch of brackets I made up too with my spot welder and I think there's a few kicking around still.
There is also a much better moulded bottom edge door seal (£30) that you can't see daylight through but that is only optional, the late td5 and tdci upto 2012 had the old type door seal.
I bought all new genuine window felt channels for the doors which isn't cheap but you can use the old ones if there's anything left of them or buy it in lengths.

Finally had the chance to get on my mac to send the email about the doors and a load of parts for them. I'm awaiting an email back but should be straightforward and maybe tomorow I will have my doors paid for and to me by the end of the week

Well we did once lose a daughter aged about 8, who rolled out of our (then) series 11A safari when the wife took a corner a bit sharp and the rear nearside door flew open 
She survived the experience sufficiently to present me with hoards of grandchildren.

Are you getting them painted by splandrover also? I noticed there was an option for fully finished to spec on their website.

Bloody hell, you've just sealed it for me. I'm going to order four td5 fully galvanised ones. I only got a reply yesterday about my order so have been thinking about which to order. William at SP 4x4 is brilliant and gave me such a good reply.
Also I'm having it painted by my painter as he's doing the whole thing
