Not really much of an update, fitted the whole bonnet release mechanism and tested it with the new bonnet catch thing. When I released it the bloody thing shot of like a missile haha

I know it's not bolted down, has to come off to fit carpets .
Going to look at getting doors in the next couple weeks! Need to see if I can get a deal, the order I'm potentially going to place will be hopefully the last of the external bits I need to build the car fully after paint .

Well Kim look on the bright side - see what you've saved doing it yourself. I've just picked my Disco 2 TD5 up having had a replacement Richards galvanised chassis fitted:

Chassis inc delivery and VAT £2670
Spraying chassis £200
Fitting including replacing Anti Roll bars, various odds & sods and a full oil change £2295-89 (41 hours labour at £40 p/h)

So a total of £5,165.89 which is probably about £2K more than the vehicle is worth, but as I've had it from practically new, and it's only done 70,000 miles it's worth it to me, and my hands are clean and unscarred

This is true, I do wonder how much this would cost if I was to pay a shop to build it for me. Id hazard a guess maybe 25k or a bit more ?
Feel a bit miserable with lack of progress recently. There's not too much I can do now. I just want to sort the bodywork, I'm dreading the amount I've got to spend

Hey everyone, I know it's been a while since I've posted, I've been working really hard saving for these doors and any other bits I need. I'll sort trying to order them at the weekend, or at least get onto SP 4x4 for a bit of a deal
Anyway once I get the doors and the B pillars (which I'm still waiting on ) I'll get to building it fully then stripping finally for paint

I realise this is a pathetic excuse of an update but i guess it's an update non the less.

Put the rear window on just awaiting the B pillars still and I emailed the company about doors as they seem to have sold out.
Also got a snapped bolt out of the roof.
Sorry for the lack of progress recently. Mainly just needs a lot of money spending now on doors and paint. Not very many odd jobs I can do anymore.
