Insurance write offs come in categories A and B are scrap, S has some structural damage, and N is purely cosmetic. Be sure they have classified it as S or N before buying back.
Don't forget Cat C! Or does it no longer exist.
My 1983 2.0S Capri is Cat C. It has light front end damage from a square on, front end shunt (wasn't mine then). Wings, bonnet, valence, lights but when they added up all the panels if fitted new it was deemed cheaper to write off I guess.
