I just got a Coast G20 as my top of the range "Bergen" one is down to 3 of 6 LEDs - wonder what Bergen means in Chinese
My Ever-Ready energiser headband torch is seriously bright with 3 functions and a good headband, I would recommend those.
Impressed with the G20 already tho, at £11 delivered it seems a quality made bit of kit.

Anyone ever had their hands on a Peakbeam? Supposed to have around a 3.5km beam. They're a bit spendy though.

Difficult to hold & photo at the same time, but the beam carries clear across the Kyle of Sutherland at this point, best guess would be 200 > 250 yards[?]. Very impressive anyway - it can also be switched to half power to extend battery life.

I think I said it before but I have a selection of torches, some I made or modified myself. However, for the home and by the front door I have an Olight Javelot. It really is a weapon, shine it in someone's face and they will definitely become disoriented. Went looking for that dumb black dog of mine the other night, caught him full in the face with it and he promptly walked into a wall. It wasn't on full power either.

I saw ones very similar to your in Texas or Homebase, I was looking at the lens when I accidentally switched it on. It’s bright, people in the shop heard sweary words they had heard before

I've been a fan of LED lenser for a while, I've a couple of P7's. Also a fandom of streamlight still gets, the led version. We use them at work, they sit in a charger and put up with absolute abuse, in use a lot and they survive it very well. I've ended up with a couple which people have made U/S but it was either a dodgy battery or switch.
But I have just bought another olight, a warrior x and am very impressed. Don't know battery life yet but its bright and light so is ticking a good few boxes already.
