Hi all
A few years ago I was burning some scrap railway lines and bars at work, They were on a concrete floor and it popped with the puddle of molten steel, A 5p sized bit of concrete went down my glove (Which was a bit tight!) and ended up with a bit of a water blister!!
And a couple of weeks later..
Back in 1999 we were picking up a 250t press frame up, Four 100t steel ropes were used which are very stiff, All your weight had to be shoved against it to make it go on to the lifting trunions, Just as the crane was taking the weight, My feet slipped in the sand and I was falling face first on to a 10" solid steel lifting trunnion so I had to grab the rope, It nipped my finger end but I pulled it out, Removed me glove and the flesh pad was still in it!!
There was no pain at all but I was mighty miffed as i'd just coughed up £90 for a course of guitar lessons!! (Had to learn to finger pick using the middle finger, Ring finger and pinky!!)
It's fine now but a quarter of an inch shorter than the l/h index digit!!
Another time I was throwing a pallet against a wall and somehow trapped me finger but this time the pain was immense!!
Excuse the grubby fingers, I'd been mixing a heap of Bonsai compost that had sharp gravel and composted bark!!
Lets see your scars!!
