Looking for some discontinued B&Q wall tiles.

I restarted my delayed bathroom project yesterday to find that I am short of at least 20 tiles. I wonder if there is any chance that someone here has a few lying about, surplus? I have been in touch with B&Q who apparently have destroyed all their old stock.

My research (brief) suggests that the name was bought and the factory closed. I have had a look around other DIY stores and Homebase have something that may be similar. I need to go and have a look. Otherwise I need to come up with some sort of "designed" contrast tiling that won't look daft.

Homebase Venice is too dark a grey sadly, so the plan B search continues. Idea is to make it a "feature wall" design.

Ironically, there will be hundreds across the country in cupboards under the stairs "just in case". But obviously knowing that just adds to the frustration : (

As I suspected, but I greatly appreciate your making contact. I am resigning myself to the idea of a "feature wall".

One idea that I am cogitating on is to use all my scrap. I could cut it down into a matching but smaller 4:3 regular shape and size and use the result for the tiling. I am trying to visualise it and see how it would look.

I just suggested white Metro tiles to 'indoors... "It will look like a public lavatory". Much as I hate to agree, she does have a point. I'm not sure how "Bloke's Railway Station Bog" ever became fashionable?

Unfortunately bct went probably 5 years ago … it was extremely difficult getting odd and ends a week after they went. Place I worked used to buy tiles off them by the pallet … really cocked I a few jobs

Most of the bathroom tiling is complete, it's just the one wall that needs doing. Hence my idea of a "feature wall".

I have become resigned to Life, the Universe and Everything so I tend to be "melllowww" nowadays. The only thing that I ever get upset about now is cruelty.
