Did you try your one windy?

Yeah I did. Only had a few minutes to play, but still didn’t get that ‘crisp’ feeling to it. Probably need to play some more. I did try it on fully manual mode and it seemed fine then.
One thing that surprised me was that when I switched to manual, the wire feed was staggeringly fast/high, but even on a fairly low voltage setting, the machine had big enough balls to actually burn the wire without making a hedgehog!
Once I got it dialled in nicely, it gave that pleasing zzzzzz sound, so I’m sure with a little more farting about I’ll get it sorted on the auto setting too.

My mpro has always been fine on synergic settings just odd times I've tweeked volts but normally just plug it in and weld. Look in the manual for a factory reset maybe

Yeah that’s not a bad shout actually. I’ll look into it

Just need to remember on Synergic mode the lines were done with the Continental gas mixes, which have no O2. Our UK Mixes usually have 2% O2 along with the Argon and Co2. It’s not a problem, but it does mean you may need to manually adjust the wire feed rate within the synergic mode to match the voltage. Once you have done that, you should be able to move through the voltage range and the wire speed should be matched to your local conditions

I found about +20% worked out well for me but I did set it on power 10 or 11.
@matt1978 what else can I do when I pull the cover/s off to clean it?

I'd check you haven't got a twitchy mcb first, type c is motor rated , my 110 site transformer will take a type b out every time until its saturated.

Funny it trips on 12 just as I pull the trigger not even arcing up

It will be charging something up ready to arc though, I've had exactly the same with transformer machines.
I'd bet your mcb can't handle the in rush.

That could be the case maybe it need swapping for a c curve

You've got no hope with a B type.
