I’d suggest you don’t look for the fire in Liverpool multi story from 2017(so almost no ev involved) that had the same outcome then, or the one in cork in 2019…and quickly spread to some ev- s which made it far worse than a couple of diesel or petrol fires than can be put out fairly quick

The corporate manslaughter laws introduced in 2007 are to blame. 3 fire chiefs were facing jail because of it. Now they refuse to send the firemen into dangerous situations
Obviously nobody wants to see firemen die but the figures speak for themselves. In the USA they lose around 100 a year. In the UK just 1 in the last 10 years.
Firefighting is a dangerous job - it is impossible to make it 100% safe without sacrificing something.
The Manchester bombing was a classic example.
They used to. There could be people or pets in some of those cars.
As we know they only go into a building to bring out possible victims.
They will not save pets if their life's are at more risk.
People have a habit of returning to save their pets - I certainly would.

Have you actually seen the video, or in fact been involved in firefighting in an enclosed space containing fuel? I have - and to suggest that they could somehow go in and start fighting this type of fire from within is nothing more than fantasy. The collapse of the building gives you some indication surely?

Blimey. I dont often disagree with you, but do here, especially in the context of the Luton fire. As an airport car park theres unlikely to be any pets there. People should be able to exit easily so can see to themselves. Let the thing burn to the ground if you cant safely put it out from the outside.
