Never fitted them with threadlock. Never had one unwind, including the one in a machine in a plant in Spain that I didn't know had one in - screw felt stiff, so was running a tap in to clear it when I realised . . . Smallest ones I've used are M3.
I wouldn't be assembling anything with permanent threadlock - if I had to, I'd use medium/blue - but not into an insert.
I can't see it doing any harm.
I appreciate you don't use it. And never had a problem. That's good.
This is a high temp, high vibration application. The old bolts stripped their threads hence why im here now! I will be using permanent threadlock.
