I quite like the xxl size milwaukee blue marker pens for marking lines etc. Think they're 20mm wide which makes them quite fast to use.
Prussian blue, or non drying blue, is used to set geartrain contact points and stuff like that.

I agree the solvent in the milwaukee pens does cut through any oil or grease much better than similiar stadler pens.
