Was in Lidl today and took the opportunity to buy a spare battery pack. That's weird... Can't find them anywhere...

Had to ask a shelf stacker who got me one from the store room. Apparently they are being stolen when kept on display.

Has lidl ever had the straight heat guns in rather than the hair dryer style.

I need one to weld PVC canvas (used for signs)

I've only ever seen the L shaped ones. I can see how a straight one would be handy though.

My local one has still got the 3 rolls (3 different sizes) of 3M masking tape for £2.99. Great value.

This is the type I need. Its 1600 Watts. But prices vary wildly.

That is a copy of the leister plastic welder. I bought one of them a few years ago & I've had varying results with it but I think that's down to my technique as the welder has worked ok.

The batteries probably won't last all day. I've got a Lidl work site radio, 6 x AA batteries only last a few hours, DAB always the same unless it can be plugged in.

Genuine question.
Has Aldi totally given up on DIY tools? There's no category under their online page drop down and my local store just have a few random drills, batteries and the odd charger left over from previous promotions. There's nothing tool related under Hobbies and Crafts. There used to be a section to allow you to buy online = gone?

Aldi stopped selling online a good few months ago. Consequently, the only DIY stuff you will see on the website is when it is in the shops. It's all xmas food and drink plus exercise equipment for the new year at the moment.

My local Lidl had a few tools and workwear today, fleeces looked ok for £12, rest is just run of the mill small tolls that usually have.

Unless you are very lucky it will probably not get a signal indoors. Dab reception in NI is from bad to awful. I thought it was just around here but when I brought my Dad up to an appointment in Coleraine a few weeks ago I kept checking the reception the whole way up. You would get a very small patch of reception followed by miles of nothing! Gave up in the end & played the music off my phone!

I have Dab in my workshop but I have an old CB aerial stuck to the tin roof feeding the radio.

Cordless led £10, mightily impressed. Torch, floodlight, very adaptable and the handle opens up for the sort of clip ability that mere mortals have only dreamt of.
