I like the look of the Milwaukee Die Grinders & the new ratchet impact

As much as I love a new toy I don't think I could justify the outlay for my lack of use!

My M18 & M12 Fuel stuff has been brilliant

Cordless stuff in general is decent if you've got enough batteries

A few batteries is generally a must if the tools are getting a lot of use. No point being stood waiting for a battery to charge, or swapping batteries around between currently needed tool(s).

Personally, I love 12V tools. I still have all of my 18V Makita tools from when I was fitting, but will generally use the Bosch 12V tools, unless I specifically need to use any of the 18V's, for the task at hand. The smaller size & lighter weight make them far nicer to use in general.

18V can be overkill for some jobs, The 12V stuff is pretty powerful from my experiences

Surprisingly powerful for the size, I've found. About the only time I've used the 18V gear over the last 18 months or so was due to needing to use two tools not available in 12V, namely the SDS & pin gun.

The planer is a prime example of where the compactness & weight comes in useful. A pleasure to use the 12V single handed & on smaller stuff. I'd have likely lost digits or sprained my wrist using the 18V for the same tasks.
