It's zero tail and fixed tracks though so double bad.
The non expanding track machines had a large tail swing to hold them down. The modern zero swing machines of large brands have expanding tracks to help keep them stable.

I am still happy with my 600kg machine, as for spares, Amazon have the same engine for around £150.00, carburetors are £12.00 complete, tracks are readily available, pins are available from Amazon or Ebay, or I have two lathes, and a mill, ram seals will be Amazon etc. , I will be keeping it well greased so the chinesium steel does not wear out before I do.

I saw an even smaller excavator in Japan. The driver sat like on an ATV (motorcycle seat) + a roof on one support on top, apparently only from direct sun and rain. It was used to repair the road near our hotel, to dig a ditch for a cable. The Japanese are masters of miniature equipment, which they do not export.

Know where your drains and underground cables are….and start playing well away from everything. Its quite easy to knock things down….patience is the key.

Oh yes.
I hired a Kubota 1.5T machine some years ago when we moved in, to clear all the building rubble out of the garden.
I'd never driven one before, I thought I was doing OK until the bucket snagged one of the guy wires for the utility pole in the corner. No damage done but seeing a quarter mile's worth of 11 kV poles swaying about afterwards was a bit alarming...

Too late to get the head start but the principle stays the same. When my sister and I were about 7 years old my Dad used to dump us in his 3t digger in the middle of a field. We weren't allowed to move the tracks but we just spent the day digging holes and filling them back in.

If you search chinese excavator on Facebook there's a few groups for this machine, they're mostly American groups.
A common modification to these machines is the fitting of extra cooling fans and oil coolers, over heating seems to be a common issue. I've also seen a good few posts for reenforcement brackets for the drive motor housings, seems to be another weak point.

Mine has a L3E too and for 20years its been a trooper but spare prices compared to kubota are a lot more , pump died on mine and rebuild was 3x price of kubota one . I stripped it down and fixed it myself in the end

Never dug through a service underground but I did almost accidentally knock down the house when we were converting it to a house from a cow shed. Clipping it with the back acter driving out the door with a load of rubble in the front bucket concentrating on that, you can see the crack that appeared still from the outside, a white line where it was packed with sand/lime. House is mud/stone and meter thick walls, so it wasn't a little scuff... But its a different class of beast to tame.
Take it easy as everyone says, be mindful of working on slopes or soft ground or near banks/deep holes and how a bucket of muck or stone at full extension destabilizes the machine, and after a few weeks it just becomes natural and you'll know what its capabe of. If it has a roll cage, use the seat belt all the time so it becomes default habit. You want to be staying in for the ride protected, not jumping out from instinct or being ejected and rolled on by your own machine. The hardest most unpracticed skill, is to know when to get off and use a bloody spade because you can see what your doing better and its down to the last tiny fine bit of the job or a high likelyhood that clunk is a hidden foundation stone and you can confirm before destroying the building.
