I am now restoring classic vw's, just about to start a major resto on a t2 camper

Good luck with it Bert. I haven’t got any photos of it, but I bought my youngest an ex Aussie T2 Kombi, had it restored by a guy over Gloucester way, he did them and Porsches, but lost his workshop after he finished it and packed it in altogether. We kept it stock for insurance purposes but did it in Gulf colours, looked a treat.

Excellent work, TBH, for me the grey really makes it stand out, otherwise it would just be another red, green Cooper.

Sorry 'Bob' is not selling his, owned this for 10 years now, wanted a Mk1 for years and glad to have got it when we did. It's easily doubled in value. A modern surf blue Cooper would be nice to have along with it.
My wife bought a tahiti blue Sportspack Cooper new in 1998, then when kids came along it sat in the garage for a few years unused until we sold it it 2005/6 for £3500. Big regret selling it, only 27000 miles on it as well.

We did the same, bought new in 1998, did 10,000 miles in 10 years and sold for £4200 in 2008
