The other advantage to getting one reregistered as a motorcaravan is the change in MOT class, meaning any testing station can do it.

Other than that and the increased speed limit and possibly reduced ferry fees etc I'm not sure if its worth the hassle and I probably wouldn't bother trying to get my next conversion reclassified.
