I have stripped the motor and as you can see from the attached photos the wiring was in a right old state. Burnt and broken. You can also see the centrifugal switch. It seems to have been a 2 pole motor to boot.
Just one quick question. How do the main case and armature come apart? Is it possible to press the armature out from the casing or is the casing heated up when assembling making it an interference fit?
