Its a Britool H73 ratchet, its 3/4 drive and push square old but should work fineIs the ratchet stamped as Britool? I somehow doubt it, but am open to correction.

I expect it is actually spring steel? Likely the end of the spring which operates the ratchet mechanism?
Hi again.Earlier 3/8 set found, bloody lovely used but very good condition, 1950s crackle finish tin.

Hi again.
Studying your enviable boxes of Britool sockets, do you know the model of the 3/8" drive set?
Any chance you may have a component list for it?
I have just acquired the same set with a few extras and a few missing. Mine is not crackle finish but smooth, so I guess a bit newer tho still the knurled handle to the ratchet and the same font on the tools.
Lovely eh. Got a set of JBS ones at work and the tolerances are shocking. Cheap multi-dip chrome, Chinas finest. Might bring in the Britool to work.Lovely bunch of tools.

Yeah, I hear what you’re saying. Chinese chrome is just so horrible though!A decision you would likely come to regret making.

There’s a few Britool sets up for auction here if interested: https://www.bidspotter.co.uk/en-gb/...bsx-w3&utm_content=pinder10144-viewauctioncta
If it sells then good luck to them.Maybe this… maybe shipping would be a smaller percentage of it’s cost.:
