Nice looking bike and the wall looks like a studio i just visited and they had a artist in to do it..

Spent some time painting the draws and then cutting the alloy angle for the bench. Not quite finished yet but it’s looking good. Also stuck the mixer and trailer in the old garage in the space vacated by the bike.
You can see the room I have now.
Cupboards on the wall tomorrow and Ikea bucket under the draws.

I hope you're putting some kind of blind or similar over that window or you'll have the world and his wife looking in....
The Bank installed this stuff in the expansive windows of an extension at a Branch I worked in - very effective....until it got dark and we had to put all the lights on inside to be able to work. It weren't one way then, unless you were outside..

Cheers slim. All the glass is frosted. You can’t see anything from outside and there’s a 7ft stainless gate alongside the garage with no means of entry from outside as we don’t use the rear entrance that often. The only people with access will be through the house.

Even with the frosted glass i would have a frame with a few bars welded to it around the window bolted to the wall just incase the circus is in town, My mates garage was remote behind the house and the cheeky beggars got the glass out and used it as a door while he was away for one night.

Today’s effort was to mount the Ikea wall cupboards but I had an issue in that there was mini trunking where the cupboards wanted to live. best solution was mount them using the french cleat method, that way I could jump over the trunking and some waste 6x1 was the answer.
I measured the widths and run the saw across them at a 45 degree angle then fixed half to the wall and the other half to the cupboards. They are well sturdy and I can remove them should I need, I can just lift them off. I’ll probably stuck a linear support on the walls along the side just as a belt and braces approach.

Art galleries use a [finer] version of that to mount some artworks, I believe. Never tried removing anything from their walls to check, don't fancy the inside of a Black Maria....

I wonder how many blokes call making stuff for the workshop to use as a bench a pleasure and call doing something similar for the house a chore ?

They did John. Don’t want to post too much bike related content on Instagram as there will be locals who know me and I don’t tend to highlight what bikes I own for fear of them going walkies. I usually stop outside the house, throw my lid and jacket inside and ride round to the garage and put it away. With the new garage there won’t even be a need for that now, just pull up, open the shutter and put it away.
